I know I repeat this info every week or so, but I think it's really important. This is education. Awareness. Cancer is complicated. Impt distinction because the cells are breast cancer cells. Must use drugs that act on breast cancer cells. Diff cancer cells act diff 2/2 Therefore, breast cancer that has metastasized to my bones is NOT bone cancer. It's breast cancer that has met'd to bones. Why impt? 1/2 Breast cancer can only kill once it's metastasized (moved from breast to other sites.) Even in other places it is still breast cancer though Stage 4 /metastatic disease mean different things in different cancers. Some stage 4 cancers are potentially curable. Breast is not.
